The weather forecast talked of an "Arctic Blast" hitting the UK over the Easter weekend with freezing conditions for all. Well that may have been the case across most of the country but things were red-hot in Weston Super-Mare as the Nelson Mini and Juniors turned the heat up on the opposition at the SCI Tournament.

Nelson RFC are one of Wales's longest established rugby clubs.   

The club values its traditional rugby routes and hosts a full range of Minis, Juniors and Senior rugby squads. . Nelson Rugby Club has a long history of supporting mini and youth rugby providing sound training for youngsters in the basics of rugby and a great social atmosphere for parents and children.

If you have a youngster who has started playing rugby at school or who enjoys watching matches and wants to have a go there are a range of age-group teams for kids from Year 1 upwards.

Training for the Under 7 to Under 12 age groups is usually on Thursday Evenings from 5.30 until 6.30 .Matches are played on a Sunday morning , home and away fixtures for the season are arranged. Tea, coffee and other refreshments together with bacon rolls and burgers are available throughout the morning. Come along on a Thursday evening and join in.
